Trisa Taro
Trisa is a multi-disciplinary communications strategist bringing more than ten years of experience working in social justice, public policy, and national campaigns.
Before joining PRP, Trisa served as the Managing Director of Communications & Narrative Strategy for Local Progress, a national network of local elected officials advancing racial and economic justice through local government. There she helped elevate local policy wins and advance statewide advocacy on housing, immigrant justice, workers’ rights, and public safety. During her tenure, she supported mayors and city councils in ten North Carolina cities in passing LGBTQ-inclusive non-discrimination ordinances; led communications for a coalition that sued and won against Governor Ron DeSantis’ anti-local control bill in Florida; and created rapid response support infrastructure for local electeds who are targeted and harassed for championing progressive policies.
